Marshmallow Dipped Ice Cream Cones Recipe

The gooey marshmallow layer topped with the melted chocolate gives these marshmallow dipped ice cream cones a s’mores like flavor which pretty much goes with any kind of ice cream I can think of. Orange sherbet? Amazing! Mississippi Mud Pie? Perfection! Butter Pecan? You betcha!

THE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups Campfire mini marshmallows
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 sugar cones or waffle cones
- Rainbow sprinkles
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place marshmallows in a microwave safe bowl and add 1 teaspoon of water. Microwave on high in intervals of 15 seconds, stirring between each time, until marshmallows are melted and smooth.
- Take one sugar cone and dip, rim side down, into the marshmallow mixture about 1 1/2-2 inches. onto a greased baking sheet and allow to set for about 10 minutes or until marshmallows have become firm. Repeat with remaining cones.
- Place chocolate chips in a second microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave according to package directions. Spread sprinkles into a shallow rimmed plate or bowl.
- Dip cones, marshmallow side down, into melted chocolate and then into sprinkles. Leave a small amount of marshmallow showing on the cone. Transfer to baking sheet to allow chocolate to harden.
- Once cones are dipped and set, scoop ice cream in and enjoy!
